NASHVILLE, Tenn. (K-LOVE News – by Richard Hunt) – “America’s Got Talent” Golden Buzzer recipient Michael Ketterer is now appearing in a short film produced by the faith-based site, “I Am Second.”
You may have watched him on the TV series, including a performance this week that received a standing ovation from the audience and saw judge Simon Cowell shed tears.
"Michael, look, oh gosh, as a dad, I get why ... I can't imagine what you've done and the fact that you're on the show and you really need this, and you're a really, really special guy, and I don't know, there's something about you," said Cowell.
Judge Howie Mandel agreed, saying, "You deserve to be here. This is not a sob story. This is a happy story. People should be led and inspired by who you are and how you are."
The story they’re talking about is multiple adoptions Michael and his wife, Ivey, have accepted to enlarge their family to eight. One of the adopted children has cerebral palsy, which saw God send a very clear sign to Michael to proceed with the adoption despite the special need.
They are convinced God has intervened numerous times in the formation of their family, including a troubled pregnancy that almost took the lives of mother Ivey and their extremely premature daughter.
Fast-forward eight years, when their daughter began having dreams, dreams of three little boys that were her brothers. After the dreams continued for two years, Michael and Ivey began to consider the possibility of adoption.
The dream was realized in an incredible way.
There was also an incident which the Ketterers are convinced was direct demonic influence, which brought a powerful reaction of faith from the family. This is detailed in the “White Chair” film from “I Am Second.” The link to the video is: https://www.iamsecond.com/seconds/michael-ketterer/
